Straighten Your Smile Your Way

There are many more ways than one to straighten your teeth. At Delplanche Orthodontics, we believe in empowering our patients to choose the best option for their unique circumstances.

While traditional braces have long been the most popular method for straightening your teeth, many patients at Delplanche Orthodontics want to explore the range of other options to see which one works for their lifestyle. With each option, there are a number of pros and cons that you must take into consideration.

During your first visit to Delplanche Orthodontics in Beaverton or Lake Oswego, Dr. Delplanche will guide you through each treatment option and help you determine which one is best for your smile goals.

Advanced Technology

By pairing state-of-the-art technology with our thorough understanding of the movement and growth of the teeth and jaws, we’re able to successfully treat many dental issues, including:

  • Gaps between teeth
  • Crowded teeth
  • Overbite
  • Underbite
  • Crossbite
  • Impacted teeth
  • Protruding teeth

Fixed Treatment vs. Removable Treatment

With three different treatment options, there are a lot of differences to discuss. One of the most obvious differences is between fixed and removable orthodontic appliances.

Metal and clear, ceramic braces are both fixed appliances that will remain in the same position for the duration of your treatment process. Dr. Delplanche usually recommends fixed braces for patients with more severe orthodontic cases.

Invisalign is the only removable appliance that Delplanche Orthodontics offers. Invisalign trays are worn for 20-22 hours per day, and can be removed at mealtimes, during sports, and while brushing and flossing. Dr. Delplanche recommends this option for patients with mild to moderate orthodontic problems.
