Fixed Treatment vs. Removable Treatment

With three different treatment options, there are a lot of differences to discuss. One of the most obvious differences is between fixed and removable orthodontic appliances.

Metal and clear, ceramic braces are both fixed appliances that will remain in the same position for the duration of your treatment process. Dr. Delplanche usually recommends fixed braces for patients with more severe orthodontic cases.

Invisalign is the only removable appliance that Delplanche Orthodontics offers. Invisalign trays are worn for 20-22 hours per day, and can be removed at mealtimes, during sports, and while brushing and flossing. Dr. Delplanche recommends this option for patients with mild to moderate orthodontic problems.
